Speech Therapy

Speech therapy will focus on your child’s articulation errors (specific sound errors in speech), phonological processes (processes that may affect several sounds or patterns in speech that make your child’s speech difficult to understand) and/or fluency (stuttering) enhancing techniques to help your child speak confidently and with strategies to ease frustrations during interactions with others.

Language Therapy

Receptive language services will target the understanding or comprehension of spoken/written language. Expressive language services will target the ability to express themselves and engage in conversations/interactions. AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) therapy targets communication through a speech generating device, signs, core boards, and/or typing/writing. I believe in a “total communication” approach that fits your child’s and your family’s needs. We will work together to find the best form of communication for your child or loved one so that they are able to communicate freely with you in their environment and have their voice heard.

Parent/Caregiver Coaching

Parent and/or caregiver sessions for specific information regarding areas of interest/need. May include coaching on how to work on therapy goals at home for better outcomes and/or supplementation of home exercises, video examples, therapy materials and/or research review.
