Hello, I’m Cindy! I am an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist with 10+ years of dedicated service in the field. I have worked in several settings with individuals ranging from 2 to 104 years old with a variety of etiologies and treatment needs. Through my work and enthusiasm of helping people succeed in speech and language, I founded Select Speech Services, LLC with a desire to provide comprehensive evaluations and treatment approaches that are evidence based and specialized for each of my client’s needs.
I received my undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and graduate degree from Akron University. I hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) and am certified by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) with licenses to work in the states of Hawaii, Ohio, and Indiana. I have a strong passion for continuing education and feel it’s of the utmost importance to be up-to-date and efficient with treatment approaches, in which I have poured numerous hours into courses and certifications to increase my knowledge base and outcomes for my clientele. I have been awarded the ASHA ACE Award (Award for continuing education) three times since 2020.
I greatly enjoy treating patients in their home environment, so it is more functional and convenient for them. My services also include teletherapy or a hybrid approach for residents on the Island of Oahu and teletherapy for residents on the neighboring Hawaiian Islands, Ohio, and Indiana. With my vast experience in several settings including acute care hospitals, nursing homes, home health, schools, and outpatient centers, I have developed an understanding for individuals’ specific needs and desires from therapy to reach their highest potential. My goal is to develop strong relationships with my clients and families and work together to best fit their needs.
On the days I’m not helping you with your speech therapy, you’ll find me taking pleasure in the sunshine and enjoying water activities, sitting in a coffee shop reading books, listening to music and podcasts, traveling, and spending quality time with my husband, son, and fur baby.
